One thing that people associate York with is the York Minster. As one of the biggest Gothic cathedrals in northern Europe, it's architecture is truly beautiful.
I was lucky enough to have a seminar and a lecture in Kings Manor, which is very close to the York Minster. This meant that every Tuesday morning, bright and early, I got to cycle past the Minter on the way to my lecture. Below are just a few of the many photographs that I've taken this Summer term. I went into town with my boyfriend and his sister last week, and we walked past this stunning cathedral. The weather was just right, as it was on the verge of twilight which illuminated the York Minster in a captivating way.
