Liverpool Anglican Cathedral: Climbing to the top

This week I had the lovely pleasure of having two of my best friends come and stay with me for a few days here in Liverpool. Having stayed here this time last summer, me and my two friends, Ellie and Megan, had done a lot of the touristy things in Liverpool - in fact, it seems that we did it all! As I listed the variety of things that we could see and do, I was astonished to find that we had in fact done them all. So, we managed to find something untouched - climbing to the top of the Anglican Cathedral. We chose probably the most perfect day to venture to the top, as clear blue skies welcomed us as we walked up the stairs and entered into the walkway. And my, the views were fantastic!

As well as climbing the Anglican, we also stumbled upon (with the help of a recommendation from someone at work) an amazing bar called Berry and Rye, which is a 1920s/prohibition themed bar. It was awesome! The bar was dark, and light by candlelight. The menu was hidden in a book for customers to search through. and the cocktails were to die for. If you haven't already been to Berry and Rye, and are looking for a cool place to have a cocktail, whisky or gin or two, head there now! One other thing I should mention about this hidden gem, is the fact that the outside of it is unsigned. The facade of the bar is totally black, and the only reason why I knew it was Berry and Rye was because of the bouncer outside, who leads you through a black curtain into the bar. An interesting bar that plays to its theme quite exquisitely it should definitely be on your list of places to head to on your next night out.
